Communications is defined as "the study of the different means people use to communicate with each other, e.g. by gesture, speech, telecommunications, and writing".
The DHS Communications Academy is a 4 year program focusing on giving students experiences within the ever changing fields of Communications. Course work is integrated through core classes and reinforced in the Communication elective classes which consist of Digital Video Production, Journalism, Digital Multimedia Design, and Web Design.Brochure

The Communications Club participated in the 2015-2016 Homecoming Day parade in DeLand. Students worked tirelessly on a float that illuminated the DHS bulldogs stomping on the Spruce Creek Hawks!
